Marrakech is walked inside the medina, taxied between neighbourhoods, and shuttled to airport and excursions. Where you stay sets the dominant transport mode of the whole trip.
Practical details
No structured public transport on the tourist side: buses exist but don't serve the usual pedestrian grid. Red taxi for short hops, grand taxi for inter-neighbourhood distances, shuttle for the airport.
